Hi All
Just looking for more information on Woolwich
Received our AIP 1/9
The full application was submitted 16/9
What timescales could we expect to hear back on the valuation and then the decision
Thanks

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

We were porting/getting additional borrowing so not sure if our timescale would be indicative as we were existing customers.
Our application went in on 14/8
Valuation requested 18/8
Fee taken 20/8
Valuation completed 3/9
Offer received 8/90 -
Woolwich are pretty quick.
Assuming all is well you should have your mortgage offer within 10 days of putting the application in.

My experience of woolwich
11/11
Application submitted in full
12/11 - documents request
13/11 - all requested documents sent
14/11 - text regarding valuation booked for 17/11
18/11 - valuation report back - (undervalued)
20/11 - proof of overdraft requested
24/11 - another issue arose. clarified. back for assesment
27/11 - woolwich advised we need to get a wall tie survey
02/12 - sent wall tie report to woolwich (showing cost of 500 to rectify)
currently waiting for mortgage offer.
In my experience they come back fairly quick. but ask for information in dribs and drabs. why couldnt they fore example tell me i needed a wall tie survey on the 18th when they assesed the valuers report.
we are all ready to exchange and complete (need to complete before xmas) but mortgage offer holding things up0
