Joint loans

To get a joint loan do you need to be living with the other person in either rented or mortgaged accommodation?

Comments

  • I would only ever get a joint loan, if at all, with the person I trust the most, my husband, maybe my parents. They are dangerous, if the relation ship with that other person breaks down, you might be solely responsible if he/she stops paying. But sorry that doesn't answer your question. Sure someone will be along soon who knows this.

Yeah that's always going to be a concern for anyone but I have the same circumstance that I'd only take it out with the person I trust the most.

Didn't answer the question but still sound advice :)

The relationship between you and the purpose of the loan are factors too.
  • If you have a joint account you may be able to apply for a joint loan.
