Mortgages through intermediaries

Does anyone know of a website which will search mortgages available only through intermediaries? I prefer to do the research myself and then simply use a broker to access the product.

It may be easier but I wanted to run the calculations myself so that I have the confidence that nothing was missed. At the moment the broker has come back with the 'best' product for me however its not better than what I've already found which is available directly. Perhaps on this occasion the intermediaries aren't cheaper however it would be good to check that for myself if possible.

It could be that the lender you are looking at will not accept you?
Also some times (although rarely theses days) lenders do have a better deal directly.
Brokers do not always find the cheapest, it depends on what you wanted during the factfind. Most people want to fix or a lender who is easy to deal with (providing its not massively more than the cheapest). Best is not always cheapest, but it depends what you want.

But yes, our software costs so I do not think you can search intermediary only deals yourself.

Brokers are bound by the regulator to only offer products for which you meet Lender's criteria.

A search online by you as the borrower does not take eligibility into account and is therefore an academic excercise only.

If you are unsure about what your broker has recommended, ask them.
