was thinking of moving to citibank, but they are linked to egg one of my creditors i have noticed would this complicate issues at all if i decided to dmp?

It depends on the terms and conditions of your credit card.
For example with Lloyds if I did not pay my credit card they could take money out of my current account which was with them and pay it from there. Hence the reason you have neutral bank accounts from companies you don't owe.0
