ASDA Beer Gone Forever!?

Hi

I enjoyed drinking ASDA Pilsner Lager - it was only about £2.30 for 4 x 550ml cans, and in my humble opinion it was worth drinking.

However, it's recently disappeared from my local store. It's also now no longer available online:

Is this the end of ASDA beer? Probably a victim of its own success?

This happened with Biere Speciale in Tesco a few years back. A nice beer in stubby bottles, 4.8% and £2.50 an 8 pack. It was replaced with a 3.8% beer for a dearer price!

When I emailed, they said there wasn't enough demand. Bull, because most of the student population drank it.

It may be a re-brand or new packaging is on the way.

Why not contact them and ask?

Seems standard around here for supermarkets to suddenly stop stocking things. We've recently switched from Tesco to Asda because our Tesco stopped stocking the green Warburton's bread (and they stopped stocking Utterly Butterly about a year ago). Now Asda no longer has our son's favourite puree food. Where to go, I don't have time to shop round multiple supermarkets.
