Waitrose- dearer prices in store than online

I noticed that Waitrose are offering Twining Lady Grey tea bags at £6 for 2 boxes on their website. Since they are £4 each, I popped into my local Edinburgh store but they were not on offer. I was told that the offer applied only online and not in store.

It does not seem right that they she an advert on a website and that it is not the price in he shop.

Not really. Was there a note on the website saying it was an online offer.

If there was, no it's not wrong, just you are not reading the website blurb.

I suspect you'll find that the 2 for £6 offer is actually valid from tomorrow (16th). It only seems to appear online once you've selected a delivery date from tomorrow onwards.

The offer does not specifically say that it is an online offer but the whole page is geared for booking a slot for delivery.

don simon, I didn't actually select a delivery date - so logically it should not really have shown tomorrow's price to me, but it could be the case that it changes instore today. However I phoned Waitrose today and was told that they did sometimes have different prices online (some higher, some lower).

You will be pleased to hear that you were correct to say that the offer is valid today in my local waitrose. It seems that the online notice is displayed the day before. Unusually none of the Waitrose staff had a clue that this may be the reason.
I shall now post another message to point out how brilliant some of their offers are today.
