MOT Fail - Need Mechanic S/E Belfast

Hi
Does anyone know a mechanic in south east belfast (I live in the Ravenhill area), I have tried all the usual recommendations, such as Lawthers but they are fully booked
I am scared of being ripped off. I had an MOT fail and had 1 serious fault - inner passenger side brake pads worn and minors such as a foglight, brakelight, horn not great and finally the passenger rear door is hard to open (something which I never even checked while buying as its just for the 2 of us).
If anyone knows anyone that could help I would be extremely grateful

I've used Gilnahirk Tyres for all recent services/MOTs, its can be manic at times but they're doing something right to have so many customers.0

BTW a rear brake light not working is quite a serious fault and needs to be replaced urgently because it could easily be picked up by a following police car.

If the brake pad is on the front (ie. disc brake rather than hub brake) it is not a big job to replace. Note usually it is recommended to replace both sides when one side needs replaced still not a big job. Sorry I cannot help you with a mechanic as do not live in Eat Belfast but I hope I have helped a little in assessing prices.0 -
Thanks so much all0

Speaking of MOTs, is it still a requirement that the MOT disc be displayed on the windscreen?0

the new MOT do not have a disc .You will get a paper certificate .This needs to be kept ,as you will need it if you want to sell your car ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
Try breda tyres, ajust above forestside, at the inns. Easy to pay & reliable and straight as a die.0
