Garlic capsules for blood pressure

I want to try taking garlic to help blood pressure, I have 1000mg ones from Holland & barrett, but wondered if anyone has tried other ones with a higher potency?

I read something about the odourless kind being totally ineffective, because it's the odoury stuff that has all the benefits. I don't know.

A friend of mine used the original type, but didn't notice any improvements from it. He was just a bit stinky for a while.

Fresh garlic, however, is wonderful if you're into cooking your own meals? Even the dried kind. They both have different properties in holistic-type medicine.
