I have read that some mortgages are pre-bookable up to 6 mos in advance? Keen to lock in a low rate fix if poss for 2 years.
Remortgaged 18 mos ago, so due in March. Current rate 2.74%
Looking at (currently) £117,000 (13 yrs 7 mos) with current value of property around £375,000. Income £25,000 gross; also lodger income £6000 pa. Last time no probs getting mortgage, same income and outgoings, v good credit file.
Owe £6000 on cards. Will be down to £2000 in March, so could be a reason to wait.
Thanks.

Will depend on the lender, and it needs to be with your existing lender, so retention deal and not re-mortgage, although I've only really heard of it being 3 months in advance.0

When i took out my Mortgage with Nationwide 2 years ago it was good for 6 moths (exactly to the day, non negotiable which was interesting as i only completed with a couple of days to spare!)
I have no idea if their T&C's are still the same. Give em a bell and ask them.£1000 Emergency fund No90 £1000/1000

I was thinking new deal with new lender, remortgage not switch, unless current one can offer good deal (past experience was better to switch, financially).
I always assumed 3 mos but read some lenders offer 6 mos, thought brokers may know.0
