Help & Advise needed ASAP

Hi,
I hope someone can help me.
I have debt spirling out of control and I want to get this under wraps asap.
I have contacted a few debt management plans, most of who either want me to pay more then I can afford or want to take amassive fee so less goes to my debts.
Can anyone advise the best companie to use.
Also I am looking to get my everyday finances in order, is there a way of cutting my current costs for example I currently pay £70 for my mobile and don't need to be paying that much but EE say they can reduce this. For gas and electric I am on prepay and coz of my debt they wont change this to monthly.

all advise is welcome.

    Hi,
Would be helpful if you could give us a bit more detail about your debt, income/ expenditure etc.
Don't ever go to a fee charging company for a DMP, advice on where to go above is good !!!!

Well done on taking the first step by posting on here.

In order for people to be able to give you more detailed advise on cutting your immediate expenditure, the most helpful thing you can do is to complete this SOA and then post it on here. Be honest otherwise people cannot give the best advise.

In addition the advise about free national debt helpline and Stpechange is good - you shouldn't be paying fees to address your debt and set up a plan.

Nothing to stop you doing a self managed DMP.

Work out what you can comfortably afford to pay towards your debts, then distribute it, on a pro rata basis, between your creditors.
Inform them all in writing what you will be paying them, and when, job done.
If the creditors don't like what your paying them, they will simply sell on the debt, then it's rinse and repeat with the new creditor.

Yes but this wont freeze any intrest and the only way I can afford to pay all of them is by consolidation

  • I second the above advice to crack on with your Statement Of Affairs, put down EVERYTHING in it so you will get the best help on this board.

Katie who has told you interest won't be frozen?
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.
