Name Missing From Joint Mortgage

We have had a joint family mortgage for the past 14 years, after a recent death it seems the bank only have details of one person holding the mortgage. No circumstances have changed up until now, and it seems that after a system upgrade of the banks computers in 2013, our names are missing from the mortgage account. Surely the bank are at fault here, no papers have ever been sent or signed to say we were aware of any change. We have a vast amount of paperwork proving we were on the mortgage from the start and also have land registry papers stating joint ownership. The mortgage has very little to pay on it now, just want to pay it off and carry on living life. Whats the next step?

Why do you want to be party to the mortgage?
Surely your concern should be directed at ownership of the property. Does the Land Registry reflect your ownership.

Its my home and am living in it. Yes my name is on the land registry, we took a joint mortgage out to secure the family home for the person who has since sadly died.0

Ask the lender for a redemption figure then settle the mortgage. The matter will then be closed.0

Exactly this.
Then there'll be no need to mess around trying to prove you are on the mortgage.
As long as the house is held in the correct names at the Land Registry, that's the main thingEarly retired - 18th December 2014
