    Seems a tad expensive still.

We had a 4Kw system (All black LG panels) with iboost and generation monitor fully installed for £5750 over a year ago now

  • I think the problem we are getting is we are getting a rush of installs before January so installation companies are putting their prices up.

Market forces eh, who needs them.

to installers I've spoken to have hinted that wholesalers will be driving up prices too. Their market is going to dry up quite a bit come January so I can see the honesty in those comments. Though I don't think it's fair of course :)

  • The panels surely have to reduce due to January as the manufactured volume won't be moving as quickly afterwards.... you'd think.

The other side of the coin is that wholeslaers and distributers will not want to be sitting on lots of stock, if the market is going to go AWOL next year.

So you'd have thought they would rather be pushing everything out the door asap, then re-ording in smaller quantities if they needed to?

Based on roof size, I think that's about the best. You might squeeze 3.6kWp using higher efficiency panels, but that'll push the price up.

For 3.4kWp I'd have thought £5k was the max, but prices are going to be all over the place now, so it's going to be hard to predict/suggest what you will have to pay.
