I'm not sure if there are any real bargains but you can pick up a fairly decent one for £49.99 at Argos. Go for a Goodmans GDB3.
Argos also a fusion box for £39.99, but I've read mixed reviews about it.0 -
Cheap boxes can be had for £40 at most stores. The Philips is on offer at Argos for £59.99 and has digital audio out.
In my opinion the best value Freeview setup is the Humax 8000T pvr, which is similar to the Sky + box, Lets you record 40 hours of programs with no loss of quality and without tape :o £125ish via HERE

Martin asked me to say I'm a volunteer Board Guide on the Utilities board, facilitating its smooth running. I can move & change posts there. However I do not read every post.

The best deal at the moment I believe is at https://www.richersounds.co.uk on the Daewoo DS608P.
This uses SetPal tuner which is extremely good at picking up weak signals.
Highly recommended by the digitalspy forum members.
I think someone mentioned this box being £80 at Argos. I have seen it £50 in Tesco at lunchtime.

Oopps sorry, closer look states priority is given to stores on this product.
There is a map on their site though to where to find the stores. No postage costs though.
