Hotmail Help? :(

Hi all

Last night I went to log into my hotmail the account I use for everything comping/work etc

And said I had to verify my account for secruitey, so went ahead however I have changed my telephone number and alternative email address is an old work one which is longer live ( I forgot to update) so they cant send me code

I did the other route which you have to enter you details to get your account back but its been 24 hours and still not working.

Anyone got their account back this way?

Only thing I can suggest is to go on Facebook and post a message on the Outlook account.
There are a few people having problems, and they do reply (it might be tomorrow they respond though) They'll probably ask you to PM them the details and sort it out that way.

I had this issue last year (I did post a thread on here about it on this board somewhere) unfortunately I didn't have much luck getting my account back. I tried the online chat many times and even tried calling Microsoft support and got no where. They only seemed interested in premium account holders. When I tried to log in it said my account didnt exist.

I was gutted as it was the same comping email addy I'd used for years but I just had to admit defeat and create a new account (with gmail)

Hope you have better luck gaining access than I did!

I, too, had this problem. They say it takes a month to reinstate your account if you can't get through their stupid security. I contacted them and they were no help at all. It took the full month to,be able to access my account across all platforms. I was, however, always able to access the account through my iPad. Weird one.
If you have previously set up access to hotmail on an iPad, it may be worth trying.

The whole situation is insane!
