I use A/L and have done for 5 years with no problem at all
My only small gripe is their online banking which takes ages to get used to and even now I get confused with occasionally.0 -
As much as Abbey and Alliance sound good choices, they don't offer merchant banking, i.e accept card payments over the phone and internet!
Money doesn't bring you happiness? Only more choices?

We have our business account with RBS, have done for 11 years. They originally gave us free banking, which went on for about 3 years. Suddenly a monthly charge of £10 appeared on our statement. I complained that such unilateral behaviour, without warning was unprofessional. They refunded the charge, and promised no charges. The same thing happened again at 2 year intervals, until about 18 mths ago. They applied a £10 charge, I rang up, and they PARTIALLY backed down. We now pay £2.50 per month (agreed after I threatened to move all our banking away, including our personal accounts). I have to say I'm pretty satisfied, £30 per year seems a reasonable amount, and we did get 9 years free banking.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.

No business current account offers this; you have to get a Merchant Service from one of the banks that offer it, and connect it to your current account for payments to come in.0
