HELP? Have I just been scammed?

Hey Guys. I dont know where to post. Can someone point me in the right direction?

There has been posted some freebies on the freebie board that you can get free stuff from amazon.

Someone has now pointed out it may be a scam. I have already got over £100 worth of free stuff...

Im worried its a scam and i am going to have to pay for it!!

Help! Where can i go for info, some confirmation that it is or is not a scam? Thanks

I assume to mean the raspberry ketone products. cant you just cancel it in your Amazon account?

This is wrong forum as well this is for boosting your income this should be in consumer or vent forum really
  • yes, I have request a cancellation, but It hasnt cancelled, Ive never had to cancel an order before, is this normal to have to message the seller to request they cancel my order?

You need to PM the board guide Soolin, go to the bottom of the Boost your income page and under Board guides you will see Soolin, click on the name and send a PM.

Why would you have to pay for it?
If you have used a code that Amazon has accepted and your goods are sent out then thats fine.

I dont know, but lots of people have been saying its a scam and you still get charged etc. I contacted Amazon, the guy told me that the code is fraudulent and is not issued by them.

    Better safe than sorry.

They cannot make you pay for it, you have email confirmation of the cost.

There was an Amazon freebie posted last week and people got the goods.

Amazons system should recognise a non Amazon code and mark it as invalid.

Ok, well i cancelled my orders just incase as I cant afford to lose the money, and i didnt really want the items that badly, was just the excitement of a freebie. However, like ive stated before, that is what amazon told me when i contacted them. Perhaps the guy i was talking to didnt know what he was talking about, but that is what he said.

I looked at the keytones post here and the code given is on the relevent amazon age under "Special Offers and Product Promotions". It is a code for an offer for that merchant by that merchant, so amazon are correct it was not issued by amazon as amazon do not sell that item... it is the sellers code and should still work at the checkout.

As long as you make the payment via amazon the seller does not get you card details. Never make payment direct to the seller. I fail to see how it can be a scam if the code works and you get the product.

That said, most research shows the product does not work any better than having a glass of water :(
