The Government and BOE sorted it all out. Nothing to worry about.
  • i heard men sold their houses thinking they were at top of market and thought they could buy them back 6 months later half price. Didn't happen, most went to join the chain gang and are now skaves to their landlords

It's been said before so convincingly: no more boom and bust. Carney has fixed it.
  • These men that sold, did they uproot their family's from safe and secure housing into short term tenancy agreement rentals?

If there's no crash on the horizon. Why are the Property118's getting in such a tizz? They'll be heading to Court of Human Rights soon poor souls.

they are rightfully a bit !!!!ed off that their incomes will drop in some cases by half or more by the introduction of an odd turnover tax replacing a more sane and common profit tax

i think only a fraction of those complaining will actually liquidate and leave the market.

over the next 5 years supply and demand will dominate. With supply running at less than one third of what is needed my guess is that prices wont go down

Yes it's ill thought out and completely bizarre to tax turnover on a business rather than profit.

    Completely agree.

Those that need to will incorporate and go back to profit based rather than turnover taxes.

But the reality is, with rents rising this quick, just a few years of rent inflation will compensate for most of the tax loss anyway.

    Some did.

Most also sold at least some of their children to slavers. Almost all of them forced their wives into prostitution for an extra 3 shillings a week.

Those family members they did allow to remain were left off the tenancy and became virtual slaves washing gentlemen's britches by hand for an income in the basement.
