The last dozen search results for Aberdeen house prices show you as the poster. Don't you get it?
While you were busy buying a house for your landlord some of us were busy paying off our mortgages and taking advantage of the record low rates.
That puts us a hundred grand or more ahead versus renting the same house since the credit crunch started.
Let prices fall.... I'll just buy more.
To rent to all the new Greggs employees in Aberdeen? Slap yourself awake man, you sound like a broken record.0 -

My bet is yes, yes it will!
The last quarter of this year will see one of the largest rises on record in many parts, on the back of significant HPI in the last qtr.
In the town where I am only one 1 bed / studio is on the market, whereas you one usually expect around 15.
1 beds could be had for £120 - £150k 1 year ago and are now £170 - £220k.0 -
The orange bits of this map are where a family on the living wage can afford a starter home.

I don;t think there has been any time in history, nor any place in the world, where unskilled people have had a great time of things.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

And you've shown the chart for one partner being a part timer, and not shown the average wage slide at all.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

when i were a lad and bought my home (2004) i was bringing home nett 900/month (salary 14K), my interest only mortgage was 500/month leaving me with 400/month to live off (bills, car etc.) I also has 13K of student loan. I didn't get any tax credits.
This isn't a 'look at me i'm amazing post' just a statement of fact.
My wages have improved alot since then (and I've kept the same house) - I know mortgages are harder to get now but affordability is something else IF you are prepared to make sacrifices.Left is never right but I always am.0 -
