Moving to contracting

Looking for advice from anyone that has done the same
I am an industry based Accountant who works in corporate management, and I am 95% sure that I am going to move from permanent to contract work, as an interim/freelance Financial controller/manager
I appreciate there's an element of risk, as with anything, but am just looking to see if anyone on here has any advice that I could take on board before I take that final leap?

Make sure you have enough money behind you and that you are willing to lose that money to support yourself over the next year.
Good luck. I went contracting 15 years ago. Love it.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Don't get caught into the trap of working all the time.
Long term stuff build in breaks and don't be frightened of turning stuff short term down to give breaks once established.
many take everything that comes their way because of the fear of a long break between contracts.0
