Hello,
I have too many savings so the govt will not help me so at the moment I have no/little income, I am self employed and recently back in the country so not business is slowly building up, when I get a deal it is usually well paid but for now I have nothing and this could be the case for the next few months.
I have tried applying to pt/ft jobs in my area but get rejected even for menial work and work in my skill field, the jobs again are slow to come. I have an English Teaching certificate, but again I have applied and little jobs, I have even gone around the city where I am Edinburgh hanging adverts for this up.
So rather than blowing my savings on fast living, can anyone advise me what I should do? Are there any jobs that are easy to get? ie could I advertise something ie gardening etc, do people find this? I am able bodied, fit and seems like people will not give me a chance. I am glad my self employment will eventually bring in some stuff eventually. If this was not the case, all my savings would eventually go...
p.s. I have taught English abroad before and that is the last option, I want to live in the UK, my country and not in exile!

Keep an eye on jobcentre website but also Google all the local agencies as some are pretty good so don't need to advertise. Tell them you will do short term assignments etc (if you are willing to) as when they trust you they will prob give you more work. Plus keep an eye for temping work for Christmas:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

You could teach foreigners English language. Lot of people are looking for some help with writing essays, cv etc, or want to improve their pronunciation. It could be an easy temporary job for you, and no need to leave home. I think you would be more in demand if your charges were reasonable, not £50/h like most oxbridge students charge
I mean, how much can you learn in one flippin hour...£50... 0
