I had to just post this - we have been out this afternoon with SIL & BIL, and their daughter, to the local. It has a huge function room that they opened up so that anyone with kids could sit in there and the kids could run around and have fun. One of my SIL's friends was there, and was complaining that her son was spoiled because of all the things he gets bought by his Dad (her ex). Apparently this Xmas he got a brand new top-of-the-range phone.

As the afternoon went on, it turned out that all SHE had bought him was an electric guitar and amp, a Wii, a laptop and £100 in cash......

Thank god she's not spoiling him too, eh?

(oh, and she's currently having to sell her house and is trying to get a council house because she can't afford the mortgage repayments... )
