What sort of gaps do you mean mum2one?
The fuel's about right I think. My husband's vehicle & fuel is paid through his business and our other 'car' is actually a campervan which we only really use for the occasional weekend trip,if we go on a long trip it comes out of the holiday budget. I walk to work & cycle with the kids in a bike trailer if we're going anywhere in our town.0 -
Looks like you are doing well. Couple of things that stick out.
Energy, have you changed supplier / tariff recently, energy prices have gone down massively over the last couple of years. I pay £77 for gas and electricity in a 4 bedroom flat and we aren't particularly careful. However depends what type of property you are in etc etc.
Internet, plusnet have a deal at the moment for £2.50 a month for broadband, plus about £16 for line rental. And Talk Talk are even cheaper however think there customer service is quite poor.
Good luck0 -

Well done and good luck sticking to it, its a great SOA.
Only thing is Gas and Electric
Depends on your property, but £54 + £54 = £108 is a lot.
Have a look at the moneysaving expert energy club.
I'm now on £47 / month for both (though we are careful and on LED lights), down from £83 / month for both.0 -

Thanks all, I did switch energy recently via u switch to the cheapest deal on there & we are making efforts to conserve energy, any ideas welcome.
I'm locked in on a contract for the Internet unfortunately :-(
Our 2 children are 3 year old twins that don't eat a lot, we're a mostly meat free family, everything is cooked from scratch and we use 'alternatives' for clothes washing, shampoo, toothpaste, soap, dishwasher tablets etc. All of this helps keep the groceries cost down.
Thanks for all the comments :-)0 -
PS we're in a 3 bed semi, I think someone asked.0
