London50 I think the world is a better place with you not hiring staff. As for the other answers. Thanks

I am with London50, I would have dismissed you and had you escorted from the premises I would also be ringing the agency to tell them I wanted a big discount on your invoice and to review their hiring criteria or they lose the contract.

I suggest you look for another job and stop acting like a kid regardless of what your colleagues do.

Well, it is difficult trying to fit in, but it's backfired a bit.
I think that the best approach is to say that you've had it done to you many times (have you ever seen the person who reacted do it before?) and you were looking to fit in, and that your verbals were in response to being physically assaulted.
However, it could be that the company has been trying to find a way of stamping out the habit, and firing two people might be viewed as a possible deterrent.
    Best of luck, anyway.
  • yes prowla it is difficult trying to fit in in a new environment. thanks for your non judgemental answer. I'm job searching now so won't be checking this again.

Protective head wear that is worn in jobs where you can be at risk of falling items, much the same as safety helmets worn on building sites

A padded/re-enforced base ball style cap worn where there is a risk of bumping your head.
