Case now with Bailiffs

Hi all, thanks for reading this.
As there have been no payments made by the NRP on my case for quite a while, the case has now had a new Liability Order secured and has been passed to the Bailiffs for collection.
They sent their first letter out to the NRP approximately 2 weeks ago and have also tried to make numerous attempts to contact him via telephone. Other than a couple of occasions of him answering the calls, apparently by mistake as he swears at them and cuts the call off, they have had no response from him.
I am struggling to get any timescales from them as to when they will start with doorstep visits or take further action. They say they have to give him time to reply but surely it has been long enough now!
Has anyone had this happen on their case so can give me an idea of when they might take further action?

I have read your question a couple of times and I suspect that this concerns child support agency arrears.
The bailiff company are required to first sent a Notice of Enforcement to the NRP and they have to give a statutory period of time for a payment proposal to be made. If there is no response the case will be forwarded to an individual officer for a 'doorstep' visit. Such a visit is unlikely to take place for at least 3-4 weeks after the initial letter.
When a visit is made the NRP is legally able to refuse to allow the bailiff into the property. If he has a car, that could be seized.
I would personally not raise your hopes too much that full payment will be made because child support agency arrears are known to be difficult to collect. You need to be patient.
Also, the enforcement company would very likely not give information to you about the progress of the case as their contract is between the CSA and the enforcement company.0 -
A PWC gets very little information about enforcement as there's a risk of the details being obtained by the NRP.0

have you asked your children about the stress caused to their father regarding goods being taken out of his home as he hasn't paid csa? and have you advised your children that if they visit him he may not have what they need as its been removed0
