How about a triple JD and coke. :) must be diet! As long as you dont mind me opening 3 bottles and take a shot out of each! Did you know JD in each bottle tastes slightly different.

Stop teasing me.... you need to spill...... to the board or just PM me!

(I am totally rubbish at suspense)

Afternoon all, can anyone point me to the correct thread please.
I want to try and get some advice for my dd who had the operation on her leg, she knows she is going to be off work for a fair few weeks and the company that she works for are terrible and she don't think they will pay her the correct ssp. I wanted to find out what she should be entitled to and if she might be able to claim for anything else.
    Thanks fernie x

I think this thread has drifted from its original roots where people shared things openly. Now we have people hiding things for another 'elite' group to expliot, tastes foul to me.

Unfortunately this has been the case since people drifted away and set up FB groups...
:oI'm sorry if it read that way TM I wasn't calling you prejudiced, rather the posters who disappear in the huff when they don't approve of a thread starter and return once the next thread appears with an approved starter and yet somehow consider themselves a better? more worthy? part of the elite family.
And we all know what Midwinter said about the tree, it's branches etc etc, it's there in the first post after all!:T

It's definitely not selfish to want the tree to flourish! We all need the tree folks, shouldn't matter who planted it this time/next time etc.

    Spot on!

    If there is a pre-approved list....I won't be on it!! ;)

I started a thread a couple of years ago and a number of "regulars" threw their toys out...it was no great loss to be honest as they rarely bring anything to the party!!
My 2p worth on the new thread & the starter of it. It would be nice if someone who has been on the thread and knows how things work to start the new one. Maybe this time it would be helpful if one of the NI members starts the new one as it appears that T's PP will be something new tomorrow & at the moment only the NI people know what exactly is happening. The front page should be accurate for everything.

The thread previous to this that Nut started, the old thread was shut down immediately, no-one knew who nut was as he/she isn't a regular poster. Would he/she have been around if the front page needed changing - who knows? Would he/she have got the 1st page correct? Who knows?

I'd vote for a NI member or someone who understands how the new PP works. I'd also prefer the new thread to be started by someone who at least has contributed something, rather than someone who stalks someone else and has created unrest here.

I don't think the new thread should start until we have all the facts about the new T's PP & the front page amended properly.

    I vote for a non-NI member...

the new thread is already set and will be re-opened when this one gets to 10,000 posts...

Good afternoon...I've never tried buttered cabbage, can someone save me some please....

I've not logged on since friday evening and the number of pages had me thinking there was a major glitch...sadly not and it appears just a debate on the opening of the new thread.....

I picked up a couple of PPs in T carpark this morning...fully intend to use them as they are valid for a month or whatever....

roll on the new thread and new beginnings....

Re Morrisobs match and more - I think a good few have been using it as an unofficial Christmas savings club and now have a good stash of £5 vouchers to withdraw closer to Christmas.
When the change comes in November they won't fully realise at first that it is now only a loyalty card and the number of £5 vouchers they have by now won't be any bigger by Christmas

Alternatively mrs muggle who up to now, never really understood the concept, has spent her £50 in Morribobs and each week her points total has increased by a few hundred or even a few thousand as it's matched the cheaper supermarket. Every month or 6 weeks by magic she gets a £5 voucher and she is thrilled but clueless as to how it happens.

After it becomes just a loyalty card, a few months down the line mrs muggle realises her total is only up by 50 a week and the £5 vouchers that magically appeared at regular intervals won't happen again for a very long time - maybe years.
Then she gets bored of the entire thing, forgets to take her card shopping and more wombles start appearing in trolleys.

Then another few months down the line Mortisons realise that people are no longer using their loyalty cards every time they shop ie less info about our shopping habits to sell on.

So they have a massive promotion - possibly the instant win cards with every £? Shop like they had before - instantly win ??? Number of points. People start remembering their cards and doing bigger shops. After it finishes a month later they forget to use their cards again.

Basically we just have to sit back and wait to see what happens next at Morribobs but meanwhile keep checking trolleys :)
