I am writing this in a bit of a rush so it's not well thought out.....sorry.

Can we have a discussion as to who starts the next thread?

There are those who care and those who don't.

So can we go with those who care if the others don't give a jot:rotfl:

I know there have been differences between heol and other posters and I don't intend to get involved with that .....but.......a big but........the thread has suffered from a drop in posts of late.....if we want to keep it going as a viable money saving resource......and we need numbers to do that.......we need to ensure that as many people as possible follow the new thread......I fear it will not survive a further drop in numbers:o

This is not meant to start an argument:)

I'm assuming the majority of posters want this thread to thrive.......don't we?

I'm in the don't care gang. Maybe I used to care but I haven't for a long time.
The thing about discussing who starts a new thread is that it always used to cause disagreements in itself. It became a bit of a competition and got quite nasty at times.
I don't know what the solution is or even if there is one. I do know that the reasons why people stay away won't change no matter who starts a thread.

I am not worried about starting one:o

So does not discussing the starter of the new thread cause as many disagreements as discussing the starter of the new thread used to :).

Personally I am not particularly bothered, so long as posters stay around as the more the merrier (hopefully!) - obviously a sign of few glitches around at the moment if we are spending any time discussing this.

Perhaps we could have 2 threads, one for caring chit-chat, sharing of glitches, being nice to one another, and a light sprinkling of smut; and another thread for back biting, gloating, winding up of different 'groups', AE's, flying visits with a wooden spoon, and one-up-manship. Then people can decide, depending on what mood they are in as to which thread they post on. Best of both worlds then :D
Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.
    I have done reading too!
