  • Morning Everyone - little bit of sun peeping through now so shoved a pile of washing in.

However my sisters in Oz have their washing lines positioned in the shade, clothes are hung inside out and bought in within 2 hours bone dry to avoid bleaching.

So NSD for me, hoping to get a few outside jobs done but will remain Glitch ready.

    Have a Good one! x

Good morning all, cloudy but bright here.

Still haven't booked any form of holiday

FC, I don't envy you your task. I think you need to take DS2 to a shop where you can buy something English off a foreigner and use that to illustrate it.

What I want to know is will he ever be able to drive? I can't see any reason why not from your posts. I bet he would drive exactly on the speed limit, woe betide anyone that prevented him from doing so:eek:

All this reminds me of a joke

Sitting on the side of the highway waiting to catch speeding drivers, a State Police Officer sees a car puttering along at 22 MPH.
He thinks to himself, "This driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!"So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over.
Approaching the car, he notices that there are five old ladies, two in the front seat and three in the back, wide eyed and white as ghosts.
The driver, obviously confused, says to him, "Officer, I don't understand, I was doing exactly the speed limit! What seems to be the problem?"
"Ma'am," the officer replies, "You weren't speeding, but you should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to other drivers."
"Slower than the speed limit? No sir, I was doing the speed limit exactly twentytwo miles an hour!" the old woman says a bit proudly.
The State Police officer, trying to contain a chuckle explains to her that "22" was the route number, not the speed limit.
A bit embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing out her error.
"But before I let you go, Ma'am, I have to ask... Is everyone in this car OK? These women seem awfully shaken and they haven't muttered a single peep this whole time," the officer asks.
"Oh, they'll be all right in a minute officer. We just got off Route 142."

    Morning

Interesting question E and one I don't the answer to. I'm not sure if driving might be a bit of sensory overload for him. It's not something he's ever shown an interest in. Also his fixation with wording on signs might be a distraction

Example....I've had a sample of dog food in the post this morning. The label on it says 'Adult lamb and rice' so he studies it for a few minutes and said 'That should say sheep and rice' so I said 'No, the adult part is referring to the type of dog'
He says 'What there's dog in it as well' :o :rotfl:

    See what I'm up against.......
  • I have just made the mistake of getting my breakfast then reading your post FC, I am so glad my keyboard seems to take what's thrown at it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Things change, i remember thinking this of my son....he was so good at the theory he used to test his instructor and of course got 100% ......I also worried that he might not "cope|" with situations but he is a very precise driver (of course), never going over the speed limits and now drives in london :eek::eek: daily x my advice is cross that bridge ........xx
