    PD :D

Sorry we all missed your birthday :A, I hope someone made you a cake.

I ended up working at Hampton Court Palace, seeing David Attenborough, then getting viciously attacked by crane flies  then came back to a Colin the caterpillar cake. Also don't be sorry, just one of those birthdays where I couldn't be arsed to do anything :rotfl:

Sorry bad news from my friends grand daughter, she needs an operation to remove her eye next week, as she has so many tumours behind it. They are absolutely devastated, so sad.

    I'm sorry love x

    That is sad news :(
but on the positive side, 90% of childhood cancers are cured these days compared to 10% in 1970. Kids adapt so well to things and she will too :A
And there's so many leaps and bounds in treatments and adaptations that hope is literally always around the corner.

I honestly don't think anyone undertakes that career lightly. It's a vocation more than a job. I know there's controversy over wages and the terms and conditions of the job but it takes so much dedication to get there that very few people could do it without true conviction.

I've read somewhere recently that medical degrees have a much higher drop out rate than any others. That's a good thing in my view. If you can't stick it out until the end, you shouldn't be doing it! The training is tough for a reason. There's nothing more precious than people's lives.

They certainly do. And I totally agree if they can't stand the pace, or what is thrown at them now it will only get more difficult and it's not something you can hold onto by a thread. I am thankful every year that DD2 has got through in one piece.
