Morning all, I hope there is a nice glitch looming to cheer me up as I have so lost my mojo :(
I had a random call from the local council and this horrid young lady proceeded to tell me that I wasn't paying enough council tax as I had an extension/annexe ELEVEN years ago....it was full of planning conditions and had a long conversation with the council tax dept who assured me it would never affect my rateable value unless the property was sold.
I cannot even rent or sell the property or even allow anyone but my family to live there but that is of no consequence now as they are determined to get more money ....been crying quite alot over this as the lovely lady advised that it would be rated as a separate property with a small discount :(:(:(

it sounds like you need legal advise of some sort - with my solicitor you can book an hours free and go along with all of your paperwork and get at least some starter advice to see if its worth challenging.

Our extension is 20 years old and it almost doubled the size of the house so I expect it would also be devalued if it was sold.
I think there is a website whereby you can see what rate bands all of your neighbours are in - virtually all of the houses have been remodelled in some shape or form

Good afternoon all. Missed the candles! But I have a freebie meal at Five Guys to look forward to today. Never been to one in the UK but my friend raves about the ones in the US.

Hope everyone is happy, warm and well. Hugs to anyone not so.

Try the varieties of Fanta. I love Fanta Zero and they have loads of different flavours with free refills. Also chip portions are huge. Enjoy

Is that the variations with lime and other combos....we went to a toby carvery with those the other week and I've also seen various coke varieties with things like orange in burger king recently....?

All very strange to my thinking but I guess thats progression for you.

just looked this one up, not heard of 5 Guys before - how do you get a free meal, did you win it?

I've got 4 toby carvery roasts, 2 Pizza Express meals for 2, several free Neros coffees, 3 free hotel nights from points collections and a large cruise deposit to organise - more chance of me organising a party in a paper bag :rotfl:
