    Good morning all.

A rainy day looks to be settling in. I can occupy myself with cleaning for the royal visit. My mother is coming for a sleepover tomorrow. She lives all of five miles away and has been to my house a total of four times in nine years!!

Hope everyone is happy and well. Hugs to those not so.

My paternal grandfather and wife moved to Rawdon Road in 1905/06 and my Dad was born there in 1921, their ninth and final child. Rawdon Road was one of the many rows of terraced houses, mainly flats like they lived in, which ran down towards Swan Hunters yard. My parent got a flat opposite them, and I was born there. I always remember the shipyard hooter', a siren that went at 7.25 am and then 7.30 am, to get the shipyard workers to work on time as all lived within 5 minutes walking distance. then it would ring at lunch time and home time, the same

Rawdon Road and the other terraced streets running down to the yards, had outside toilets in the back yard, no bath (tin bath in front of fire) and the 'kitchen' was a true scullery, my sister and I slept in same room as Mam and Dad, with elder brother in box room. The people there were a real community, no one locked their doors and everyone knew everyone else and helped everyone else. Fond memories. It was hard but it was good too

Added - this is one of the streets of terraced flats running down to the Tyne, dwarfed by an almost completed ship, though in my day, the 50's, the street would have been cobbled

Such fond memories indeed. I was born in Tynedale Avenue but moved when I was a year old to Earlington House Forest Hall. Dad owned a garage on Coast Road, he often told me tales of what went on in the war years. It seems he had to stay open 24 hours as emergency services filled their vehicles from his petrol pumps.

He was born in Willington Quay and started in his own business there. I have a fair bit of information on the family going back, they all remained there from what I can see. Dad bought a house in WQ and my grandmother lived there until her death.

I haven't tried it but in theory yes, it would make the perfect rinse and repeat :) - I have managed to use HH and money off vouchers to buy 3 V previously in T (with other items - on their own the till threw a wobble).

Do you still get extra CC points when you spend a certain amount (can't remember how much it was) on gift cards please?

Some price changes in, I will try to list everything that is a god price

On page 70 there is a £1 off St Helens Farm GOAT milk, the 1 litre ones currently £1.60, so 60p with voucher.

    MAIN PAGE

Fruit shoots 60p off, in Expresses ONLY. Currently 91p, so 31p with voucher

50p off Yazoo, 1 Litre is £1.60, Sada is £1 and Morries £1.30

£1 off Tosco extra large battered cod, currently on offer at 3 for £8, so using 3 vouchers £5

20 points on Maggi noodles which are currently 20p, don’t buy with anything else as Sada 39p

    50p off John West spreadables, currently 75p. Morries 75p & Sada 2 for £1, best before 2017!

Also worthwhile entering the competition every time.

I know it is not within the rules to post a link to vouchers, but is it OK to post a link to the online mag please? I've tried Google with no success, so if it is OK, I'd be very grateful if someone could post the link please, or tell me what I need to Google to find it.

    Thank you so much.

I have him on ignore. He can say what he likes.

The 'he' in 'heol' stands for Helen.
    Jeremy Corbyn for Prime Minister!
Then we can stop wasting money on warfare, improve the NHS, build more houses for the poor, and improve community services.

I realise? We all use an electric toothbrush so don't really need them. I originally got them for the shoeboxes for Christmas but I think I've got enough now.
