A few people have referred to this as it was in the news last month. but the link below outlines why M got into trouble with the ASA about their M&M scheme:

Basically, no way for customers to verify the basis of the points given (as we have said all along). Not sure how they will address this as they have been required to by the ASA ruling - one way would be to close it, another to make the data available online like A and T do (S as well? No idea as I have never bothered with their scheme).

There are quite a lot of phones that can be unlocked free. For instance, I have software that can generate unlock codes for a lot of Nokia and BlackBerry phone (no charge to the Elite 😉).

Let us know what make and models you have and we can see what can be done.
