Temp job for over Xmas?

Hello everyone
I left a supervisor job at Argos this year after 10 years to follow a dream of working with animals.
I now work at a sea life sanctuary, feeding and talking about the animals. I love it!
Even though I am so happy, it is mostly a tourism job and my hours will soon fall.
Im wondering what I could do over the winter months to help boost my income?
I have thought about a Christmas temp job in retail, but most want you to work xmas eve/boxing day - and I go home for xmas (they live 5 hours away) Also, im thinking I will get taxed a lot so it wouldn't be worth it!!
Does anyone have any ideas? (Im also trying to save for a wedding which I hope to book soon for 2017!)
Thank you

The Post Office usually take on extra staff over the Christmas period, that may be worth looking into.
In terms of tax, you'll be taxed at the same rate whatever job you do ( assuming you earn enough ). It makes no difference who you work for ( unless it's some dodgy "cash in hand" arrangement, and even that leaves you open to getting caught out ).0 -
why not talk to Argos to see if they may take you on again as a temp?
they know your work so may be willing to have you even if you can't work christmas eve/boxing day?0 -
Try Royal Mail. They are always recruiting for deliverers of the Christmas post during the Christmas 'rush'. You'll probably have to work Christmas Eve but not Christmas Day and Boxing Day as they're Bank Holidays.0
