20% off LED's & Free Delivery

Options
I used this company to buy some LED Spots and noticed they have a new website and 20% off everything with free delivery. Not sure how long it's on for.

Not particularly cheap even with 20% off.

    Got 2 x GU10 LED at Homebase for £2.93 a while ago.

    Toolstation 5W GU10 is £3.98...

That's true. It's still more expensive than others. Sometimes,we are confused by code discount.

Cisco001 (&wyatte) - any idea of the quality of the Homebase bulbs? Lumens? Colour temp? What if your two LEDs are complete rubbish, are they still better value?!

Using Home base one at the moment.
4W, Colour temp 2700K. Not sure exact lumens. it is as bright as halogen.

You can always read specification before you buy. I am not too worry about quality, it will be definately easier to pop to Homebase and ask for a replacement than buying from online retailer.

Thats like saying a Nissan Micra is cheap compared to a Rolls Royce.

This is my point. Your recommendation isn't much use because you don't tell us the lumens of the bulb, nor the wattage (25, 35, 50?!) of the halogens you replaced.

You probably should be when plugging something into the mains of your home.

The products you have named are not comparable to the stuff well-lit sell. If you just want low energy lighting this is bright enough then sure go for the cheaper stuff, but for those who care about light quality, colour rendering, dimming without flicker than these are incredible value for money.

Most LED's give your home the atmosphere of a hospital, trust me I tried a lot, well lit are perfect halogen and incandescent replacements and create a nice ambiance.

Well worth it, especially with the guarantees and returns policy !

Going in your car or a bus or train to get to your local Homebase is 'definitely easier' than picking up the phone to a retailer from your home or work?

    Not sure i follow that.
