New employer cut hours from 40 to 16 after tupe

I currently do a 4 week repeating shift pattern. The contract says zero hours but the shifts are preallocated
I knew in january exactly what shifts I'd be doing in September
The new company is regarding me as zero hours and do not feel the current hours have to be honoured?
What should be my next step. Would i raise it as a grievance when i transfer over. Should i accept what shifts they've offered under protest
Any advice appreciated

but if you have a zero contract with your current employer and then have a zero contract with your new employer then they gave tuped you correctly0 -

But i am guaranteed 40 hours now and will only be offerex 16 after tupe0 -
If you are on a zero hours contract currently you are not guaranteed 40 hours, it's just that you regularly get 40hours so are accustomed to that. That unfortunately is the risk of staying on a zero hour contract.0

But theres got to come a stage where the contract gets superseded by what is actually the situation in practice0 -
You are either on a 40 hour contract, guaranteed 40 hours.
Or you are on a zero hours contract, guaranteed nothing.0
