Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:
Welcome to a new week !!!!!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
So, today I will:

Hiya sweetie,
I'm just this minute checking my bank balance to see if I can afford to make a mid month extra payment on my CC.
Then I'm off to post an application for a 0% card that I plan to BT as much as I can onto.
I've got to post some eBay and list some more (5 things today I hope)
Then I'm going to go round all the ethnic shops in town and see if I can bulk buy rice and couscous from any of them, and I'm going to hunt down a massive sack of porridge oats too ready for September Grocery challenge. (We get paid in a few days, so ours will start before September does.)
My daughter's going on holiday so we'll pick up her holiday toiletries from the cheapie shops - if I haven't already got something suitable in my stash.
And I've got to find hubby cheaper life insurance today as well.
Everything I do to improve our finances makes me feel a little bit better and a little bit more "in control"

I am having a NSD today.
Got about 5 loads of washing to do but gonna get the most on the line to dry instead of using drier.
I am doing the bulk of washing on a 30 degree wash as advertised by ariel lol.
I have done daily clicks on greasy palm.
Doing surveys on CIAO so earned £1.60 there.0 -
Good afternoon and these are the results from sunny Blackpool!
1. Lunch provided at work - yippee!
2. Phone on charge whilst on my desk
3. Paypal'd my postage so didn't have to pay at Post Office
4. Store cupboard tea (and next 2 lunches!) pasta with pesto & pine nuts - yumm!
5. Will be Ebaying more stuff this afternoon
Have a good one! :wave:0 -
Dyed my hair with a £1.99 hair dye..........always have and it's come out great! Was getting a bit annoyed cos people don't seem as surprised that I'm my DGD grandma anymore, so decided I needed to do something about it lol!
Not so DFW, am off to collect car + new engine in a minute.......£470!!!!! BUT I used to have a car on finance at £220 per month so it will be a massive saving in the long run!
Otherwise a trip to B&M bargains so DD can spend her own money, so hopefully a NSD apart from the car (and I think it's got circa £15 petrol in it so thats a bonus!)0 -
Oh I think I'll try an ethnic shop for rice, we don't have one in our town, but I'm going further afield to do a mystery shop.

So today I have/will
-done my clicks
-applied for a free kitten pack from Whiskas through Quidco (£1.47 cash back, though I lied about the age of my cat cos they have to be under 6 mnths
)
-will do a mystery shop for a new company. No spend required, payt £10
-done on-line banking
- will cancel organic box scheme, I'm a little disappointed but with everyone leaving home it has become impractical/wasteful and at £16.40 a week too expensive
Not that there is a single greengrocer in our town, only Mr T and Sainsbugs.
-send out a book sold on Amazon, and one lousy item from e-bay. (sometimes ones own rubbish is everybody elses rubbish, Hypno :rotfl: )0
