I wanna 8ft trampoline enclosure that goes outside the ring/springs?

We have an 8ft trampoline with an enclosure that goes inside the springs - my sons are becoming increasing adventureous and to be honest could do with a bigger trampoline! However we saw one in B&Q yesterday, where the enclosure goes outside not inside the springs. Although this doesn't give anymore bouncing space, it still seemed more spacious as the other one could wait on the edge etc. Does anyone know where I can buy one of these enclosures on its own without having to buy the whole set up - or possibly if anyone wanted to do a swop! Please let me know - many thanks!

Not what you want to be doing really.

The enclosure is there to stop people going near the springs and padding they are one of the areas that make tramps dangerous drop a leg down and you will know about it.

Also standing on the springs isnt a good idea you will wear the pads out with the movement of the springs while someone is bounceing. The extra weight on the bed will send the bounce off just like having 2 people on it at the same time.
  • I see what you are saying - I just thought it might free up a bit of space on the tramp. One of my children tends to stand on the side whilst the other goes in the middle and vice versa. I do notice however that a lot of the trampolines have the enclosure on the outside - including some of the more expensive ones. Possibly they are made different or the springs are more padded?Maybe I will just have to upgrade to a 10ft one - will keep my eyes open for one in the sale!
  • I'm also on the lookout for a new trampoline and have been doing all the research (i'm a bit nerdy like that). theres some pretty scary statistics out there about trampoline injuries from kids hittin their heads on the frame!

If you've got the pounds to spend then i'd look at the springFree one. It doesn't need pads coz it has no hard edges. hard to describe

    Happy jumping! :)

One I got from Littlewoods has the springs outside the net, nasty if you stand on a spring, done that once, never again, youch! It's also recommended for safety that only one child should be on it at a time, most injuries I've heard about has been several children on at once, last incident 2 broken arms and one with whiplash, suppose that is what safety notices are for.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi,

Have been looking myself, have spotted a 12ft TP at robertdyas but this does not have a surround. Any idea's for a cheap surround, have spotted a £50 quid one at B&Q for there 12ft but not sure if it would fit.

Can any one recommend a 10/12ft one ? or place to buy. Have read that the B&Q ones are not that good.
