Facing Reality and Staying Focused

Hey kaf3g
Nice one on the £320 to come off
Budgeting, as you know, is the key. As Dave Ramsay says, every dollar (or pound!) needs a job! I am still learning to budget but getting better each month. You may not get it spot on the first couple of months, but it gets easier.
2 weeks will fly by
On 23.6.15 I panicked when I realised I owed £37,311.62
I will be debt free [STRIKE]by July 2018[/STRIKE] as soon as I can. Current debt £26,473.73
I am now living within my means - without an overdraft and with a (YNAB) budget0 -
Sorry not posted for a while been struck with the dreaded lurgy going about but luckily feeling better now.
Had a really long chat with my OH this weekend and explained I was struggling with budgeting and paying things off, he didn't realise things were so bad and we sat together yesterday and went through the budget for next month together - what an eye opener it was for him! We have very little spare cash next month due to a wedding and sons birthday to organise so it's batten down the hatches even more between the next two pays. I feel ok about it as we will be facing it together
I get paid on Friday so will go to aldi with a shopping list after meal planning for next week and I will not deviate from the shopping list!!
Still not put anything on ebay yet but have gutted my living room and OH did the bathroom so feel like we have been productive and have started to pull a pile of stuff together to sell.
Does anyone know when the next 0 fee's weekend is on ebay?
Thanks will post my meal plan for next week on Thursday

Hi kaf3g
Really lovely to see you posting again. Hope you feel much brighter by now
I bet it feels good to share your money worries with your OH as a problem shared is a problem halved. I am sure you two together can tackle things as a team which will make the load a lot easier.
I am not sure about the ebay fees but hope what ever you list, sells. I have a few things listed and each time I get a bit, I get a smile on my face

Thanks IWBF it is a big relief to feel we are in it together - will see how long it lasts though as he tends to forget after a week or so and I am back to plodding along by myself! However I am staying focused and positive and am sure this time he will stick for the long haul.
Been productive and done a two week meal plan tonight so just need to finalise my shopping list tomorrow night - I absolutely will not deviate from my shopping list! This is my new mantra when I go round the isles
Big test for me tomorrow, all my team are going out after work for drinks and I would normally go with no hesitation however it is the day before pay day and we have no money and we also promised each other we would cut down on our drinking as it just leads to us to burying our heads in the sand so I need to stay strong tomorrow and come straight home, I feel positive about this now just need to keep that feeling at home time tomorrow,
Wish me luck
