Hi all,
I'm not sure whether anyone can help, I have done a search but couldn't see this posted already..
A scratch has appeared on the bottom of the bath - it looks like the paint/enamel/whatever coats the thing has been removed and it's quite noticeable. Living in a rented property I'm conscious this needs to be resolved or it'll be removed from the deposit, does anyone know of a way I can put it right?
I think my flatmate dropped something that must have been sharp or something as I'd spent the whole day cleaning the tiles (with recommendations from this board) and there were no scratches until I went in the next morning following their return
Any help or advice very much appreciated as the letting agency aren't very nice and I know they'll be more than happy to deduct from the deposit! x

You can fix a scratch in the enamel by getting a repair kit for it.
It'll take you a little while to get it to look good and the LL shouldn't notice it unless they have a very close look which they'll be unlikely to do on check out.
Just a quick google.... http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/atmos-enamel-and-porcelain-repair-white-950099
edit: is the bath white? I hope for you that it is. It's almost impossible to match a colour with a repair kit.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Thank you! It is white *phew*OH seems to think that the enamel or whatever it is (I'm not sure about these things and he's just as useless) hasn't been removed it's just marked but I'm convinced it's a proper scratch to the coating.. I'll have a go at it tonight with bleach and bicarb mix or something and that should show whether it's a mark or an actual scratch!
Thanks again x0 -
Get some bar keepers friend; it's worth a try xxx0

Thanks! I tried cleaning it last night and it's definitely a scratch in the coating so going to look at getting one of these pens or similar that claim to fix it0
