I'm in a spending mood. Can't afford to be too frivulous, so think i'll go get our monthly toiletries and check out the prices in Boots vs Superdrug just for fun. Definitely need bubble bath and Listerine though.
OH's sister and her fiance' are visiting tonight, so add £8 for 2 x rose' and £10 on a takeaway (first in 18 months, go us!)x0 -

Today we'll be off to macdonalds for dinner before our rehearsal (I know...) £5.78 for us both
before that we're off to B+Q as we need some pollyfilla but I'm going to take the 2 rolls of masking tape we bought and didn't use as we had more left than we thought so hopefully they'll cancel each other out.
Then £2 for rehearsal.
Macdonalds and rehearsal are in the budget though and did well not to buy anything at the post office at lunch time :AInitial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

bought some reduced meat in the expensive convenience store today. Not often you get a bargain there! Straight into the freezer for that little lot!
Was going to treat myself to lunch out today(approx £6) as have had a wee windfall, but waitress was slow and place was too busy so left and went into take away section and bought a bag of chips actual cost £1.80, including a can of juice. So technically £4 saved!!! lol-o-lol-o lol!!!! That's my non MSE logic kicking in again!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Far too blummin much if you ask me - £64 quid in B&Q for wallpaper, paint and glue, £45 for coving... just need flooring now!
£1.45 on lunch - should have made my own but when you've been decorating all weekend it's the last thing you can be naffed to do...
tis all so far today....Proud to have dealt with with my debts

Just a loaf of bread. 99p.
But the fact that I managed to get through to the far corner of the supermarket where they keep the bread, and then to the till, without picking anything else up on the way is a minor achievement - I don't manage it successfully very often!2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Hi PaP - I'm afraid I've not been around much today, but I've still managed a No Spend Day. I don't think it will last all week though, as my wife and daughter are measuring the lounge floor for wood flooring
Edited; PaP, I see you are my 4000th post. :T :TI am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
