    Hi guys
I had my boots for a week and had checked them originally and they looked fine. However when i took them out again to show my hubby, i noticed that the ugg label on the left boot was squint. The left corner of the label was higher than the right corner. Really you could get away with it but WHEN you've paid £85 for them then why should you. I didn't want them to look like a fake copy when they obviously weren't. So i sent them back and asked for another pair but they advised me that the other pairs in my size were also faulty....

    So def check the label.

Are you sure they were real? Usually genuine boots retail at 100+.

Also just as a heads up on shudoo the 20% discount still works. The grey classic ugg boots I ordered came today full with an authenticity certificate. They also now stock chocolate colour.

    Phil.

yes Footasylum are authorised ugg suppliers - they are on the official ugg website and the boots came with a certificate. They were on special offer and i used a voucher code to bring the price down from £125.

Thank you, but they will only be fakes if they purport to be Deckers boots and they do not.

Ugg is a generic style and we are quite happy to have non-Decker boots. The website makes it VERY clear that they are not Deckers and the link isn't very relevant in these circumstances.

If you read the first post on this Loooonnnnggg thread, you will see that anyone can make Ugg boots; it doesn't mean that they are inferior quality.

Last week I saw a woman wearing Jumbo Ugg boots brand - I asked her where she bought them... she replied, "They're fake, they're from Australia!"

My mouth fell open, & then I explained to her that UGG is a generic name, originating in Australia... that American company Deckers own 'UGG AUSTRALIA' brand, made in China!

Anyone who doubts this needs to look halfway down the inside leg of an UGG Australia boot: there is a label saying, 'MADE IN CHINA'!!!

Marketing & branding has perverted customers perception.

Not only are genuine Uggs made in Australia, they're far better quality than UGG AUstralia made in China!!

    Hi People,

Ive come across this site and been reading it the last few days, i am now a member (yay). You seem like a helpful bunch so im going to ask for some of that help please. :)

Ive promised my gf some Classic tall Uggs, and so I am going to buy a pair online in America and have someone bring them over here with them for Xmas. (Seems like a big difference in price between the State's and England for some reason)?

Any way, Was wondering if someone could advise me on an American website where I can get a good priced pair?

    Look foward to your reply's.

    Thanks :snow_grin
Difference in price is because UGG Australia are owned by US corporation, Deckers!

Made cheaply in China - you suckers are paying for a label, not quality!!

For genuine Australian Uggs, google Aussie sites ;)
  • Costco currently have real Ugg Cardys in for i think £100, little bit more pricey but the genuine article. They have also had Kirkland signature Ugg style boots in the classic style and they seemed really good quality but for around £50.
2010 wins - Rizla t shirt, Lady Gaga t shirt, creme egg keyring Feb wins - Lucozade products, £15 New Look voucher, Ice age 3 toys, kushelle Koala, Thorntons melts, Elemis fruit active peel

This thread is for people who are after a good deal on ugg boots, whether that be Deckers or otherwise. If you read through the thread you will see that. But thank you for your valuable input:D

So save money, go for the real thing & buy Aussie!

Not only are they the ORIGINAL & GENUINE UGGS, but they're also cheaper than the US 'Made in China' brand!

Meanwhile, many Australian UGG manufacturers are losing their businesses, thanks to Deckers Corporation, who make inferior quality Uggs in China!

But, if it's OK with you Claire, don't listen to me, google 'Ugg boots' & check the facts at wikipedia & saveouraussieicon!!

    I'm told I'm a new user & can't leave links!??!

Sadiesadie - The users that post and read this thread on a regular basis are well aware of the fact that the Deckers Uggs are made in China, they are also aware that ugg is a generic term for sheepskin boots and not just for the decker boots.

People are entitled to spend their money on the boots they want, I own Emu boots cos I think Decker Uggs are too expensive but as I said, each to their own. Many people on here have bought alternatives to the deckers boots and others just prefer deckers uggs for various reasons which they do not need to explain to anyone.

This thread is for finding the best deal on uggs (regardless of their maker) though the majority of people who use this thread for guidance and advice want the Deckers boots and some others want a more affordable alternative.

This thread is invaluable to people who aren't aware of the amount of fakes etc are out there, I can honestly say if it had not been for this thread I'd have bought a fake pair of "deckers uggs" and been left fuming.

    Another question,
does anybody know how the classic ugg boots in the colour SAND cope with dirt generally ??
  • Hi guys, need to get my girlfriend some new uggs for xmas,

She wants the bailey button ones, she has the short classic, tall classic and cardigan ones already.

She needs a size 6.5 in the uggs in acolour chestnut, i've looked at most websites and seen that shudoo seem to be the cheapest with the 20% off code.

Unfortunatly they don't have them in stock atm, but i fear the discount will run out after they come back in stock :o

Anyone got any ideas of a website that matches the price or comes close?

    Ta.
