OK, just read above about the Ugg cleaning kit:

    Don't do it!!!

Go to Tesco-or Waitrose or Sainsburys or any other huge supermarket, you will find they stock suede and leather shoe cleaning products, these are a fraction of the cost, and brushes- if they have sold out, can also be bought in many places from shoe and boot fixing shops (I forget the proper title!) or even markets and pound stores- look around, save yourself some cash!

I bought myself some shampoo for my boots for £3.50 last year. Still got most of it left after using it twice. It foams when sprayed and cleans excellently. The brushes, again from the Supermarket all together were around the £5 I think. Clean is clean, right? I mean, who sees the label of your cleaner aside from (if your rich enough to have one) your cleaner!

With the rubber thing- not seen what you have but is it like a square block? if it is, you just scrub where the mark is on the boot- but you need to do this v.hard to get an effect. Some of the natural suede may rub off, but not alot. You need to scrub as hard as you can to make the block feel warm to touch, then it works better. (I used to have suede buffalo boots-(thin "spice girl". Oh the SHAME!!) It does work but takes some effort.

If your talking though about a rubber comb/brush like thing, I think its for brushing over the suede once cleaned and dried or drying to get the suede to lie in the same direction.

    HTH.

i got conned into the cleaning gift set when i bought my very first pair of uggs , the lady swore by it , but dont they always when there trying to sell you something lol , i used it on my first uggs followed the insructions to the bottle bit for bit , left them 24 hours before using the boots etc and found at the time that i thought buying one from the supermarket would do just as good a job , so i bought a £2 odd one from the local tesco for when i got my next pair of uggs which is ok does the job , BUT i find the ugg one lasts longer on the shoe and if you ever have to wash your boot the water will never go right through unless you literally soak them in water , and have found they dry very quick after washing with the ugg protector and it seems to work again and again even after been washed , altho i do top it up if i have washed them , i think it depends on your budget , if you dont want to fork out the expensive price tag for the ugg one then by all means the supermarket one will do the job , but i think the ugg one is better , just my opinion :)

the boots are sheepskin though..not suede so surely a suede cleaner wouldn't do the same job? I'd be frightened of ruining them.

£20 aint so bad when you know it's going to keep your boots looking lovely x

this is why i think the ugg one is better and lasts longer , as its a liquid that soaks into the sheepskin , the others are spray that sits on top , but i think using a tesco one if you dont want to pay is better than nothing :)

edit just realised your onabout the cleaner , yeah id be worried to use anything other than sheepskin cleaner
  • Can anybody tell me if the uggs on uggaustralia-hyphen-uk-dot-biz(I can't post the link cos I'm a new user) are genuine?? The prices do seem too good to be true but comparing all the detail they do seem genuine!!!

Its a good fake though. I can't see any difference between those and my girlfriends Uggs from Cloggs.

Yeah, Cloggs is one of the sites I compared them on and they are exact!
