Hi
A potential employer is wanting a 'full form birth certificate.'
How does this differ from a normal one?
Thanks

There are 2 types of birth certificate:
the short version, which contains only the baby’s details
the full version, which also contains the parents’ details

If you only have a short birth certificate, you will have to pay to get a long (or full) certificate. IIRC its around £10-£15. Contact the Registrar's office at your local council.
Usually employers only ask for this if you are unable to produce a UK/EU passport as proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
PS: you usually have to provide a long birth certificate if you are applying for a marriage licence, so if you pay to get the long one, keep it safe as you may need it in future. Make sure the employer only takes a copy and returns the original.Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190
