Wedding expense!

I wanted to buy my friend a canvas picture of her wedding as a pressie, but the prices ----aaargh! Found a bargain place and thought I'd pass it on. www.vuzicanvasart.co.uk.

Also I bought a dress from eBAy for the wedding and it looks great but only cost me £35!!!!:happylove

Any tips for Best Man speech much appreciated as my chap is dreadin his role..

Many thanks.

You can buy books about a best man's duties in W.H. Smith and other book stores. They should include useful advice on giving a speech. Everyone is very nervous at the thought of giving a speech at a wedding.

It's usual to start off on a humorous note, get people laughing then it will feel easier. Say how he met the groom and what a great friend he's been, tell a couple of nice stories about him - showing him in a good light. Usually they say something like how happy he's been since meeting the bride. Then he could compliment the bride saying how beautiful she looks, and say something similar about the bridesmaids. Perhaps end by toasting the happy couple.

  • Hi, I haven't received mine yet but they were helpful with the picture as it had a couple of things I wanted changing and they did it for no extra cost. Should receive it this week. I found out about it from a friend who had one on her wall. I think they are family run business so can keep costs down there.?????

Thanks for help on best man speeches, it's only a week away and he hasn't even started it (ostrich-syndrome)
