Hi,
A new poster here.
Short story.. had a fling and a child was born.
Took a paternity test - paid myself - positive child is mine.
CSA called - Am i the father - yes.
CSA maintenance began - £603 per month.
Am i on the birth certificate - No. Declined by mother.
Am i allowed to see my child - No. Declined by mother.
The only time i have been able to see my Child was when i stopped payments and suddenly i saw my child twice in a week!..
CSA called have you stopped payment.. Yes.. Now you pay direct. Mother goes missing again.
I am going through the process to gain access..
Is there anyway to get any control back.. its not the money is the lack of exchange.. i.e.. lower the monies received??

maintenance and access are separate.
You are liable to pay maintenance whether you are given access or not, you should look to the court for access issues0 -
As far as access goes there is nothing you can do (realistically). You could go to court but you would have to pay your costs, she would get hers paid by any one of a number of 'charities'. If the judgement goes in your favor she can (and probably would) simply ignore it. Although the court would have the power to sanction her and throw her in jail they wont.
As for the payments to the CSA there are things you can do depending on how far you want to go. You can leave the country (possible taking it a bit too far). You could become self employed (but trade via a limited company) etc.0 -
You can get access using the court but you have to be patient and persistent.
Suggest you fill out forms yourself as solicitors charge a lot and in my experience are not any more successful than doing it yourself.0
