Sister problems with work

My sister works for a national care company as a home help, she has worked there for almost 4 years and all of a sudden out of the blue they have suspended her citing theft. Since this meeting over a week ago she has received a letter requesting her to go in for a meeting where she can only have another employee or union member with her. She isnt a member of a union and only other members that know her is our mum so she cant go for obvious reasons. In this letter there are reasons stating that she has put poor standard of work, lack of communication and poor time keeping. Apparently over four years she has de frauded the company of £66. They have never mentioned any of this before in fact when other members of staff have holidays/sickness it is my sister that calls in, and her clients often phone the office and ask if they can have my sister in future as she is so pleasant and does the job well. What can she do?

Why can't her mum go with her - if she is a staff member then they can't stop her, unless she is a part of the issue.

Have they given a breakdown of the £66? Has there been a complaint made by a client? Does she have poor timekeeping?
  • Have they given any instances of the allegations? These are very vague and I can't see how anyone can defend themselves unless there are specifics.

Post as much detail as you can on here without making it recognisable, and we will try to help.

  • The only ones theyve mentioned are with a particular client, hes extreme in the mess he makes so when my sister went in to do her inital inspection she mentioned to the office his vacuum doesnt work and he needs an intensive spring clean, which her contracted hours dont cover, (they usually get someone else into do the intensive work) this gentleman has cancelled a couple of times and my sister has text and emailed the office but they are saying she hasnt let them know. She hasnt got poor timekeeping shes to the other end of the scale and always early, we learnt how not to timekeep from our parents :D. I'll let her know she should be able to go in with Mum, she isnt the most confident so it'll help if she has back up. Thank you
