I would suggest school working, TA or minibus driver? If he wants to go down the TA route I would seriously recommend he spends the next academic year getting a qualification.
What did he do before you had the children ?

Yep male TA's are like gold dust and greatly valued. They provide a much needed male role model for all the kids but especially the boys.
