Dragon's debt diary

Okay a quickie update from the Dragon household. We have decided to go down the grievance wotsit route (which means I suspect that Dr Dragon will be burning his boats so far as that job goes) - I have decided to kick off on the 1 pound a week challenge again! Anyone up for joining in?
So the new me starts again here! The holiday is now well and truly over, back to tracking food and drink (and exercise!), time to get organised in all areas of my life - I think the weight is just a symptom of bigger problems (okay not being able to walk is a major one!) - it seems though every time I am getting there something/someone knocks me back! Yoga and a positive attitude is needed I think, also I tend to find that a messy house/room is indicative of how I am feeling and at the moment ..........!!!!
So plans for the coming week - clear the sofa and the coffee table, sort out magazines and lose a minimum of a pound in weight. Reading the latest Rosemary Conley magazine and book should help on that - her diet book recommends a two week period of no alcohol to kick start it and after the amount consumed over the week away I think this could be a good idea! My goal at the moment is to get back below 21 stone - this morning I weighed in at 21 4.5 so 5 weeks should do it!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I need to do something Taxi! an untidy house/room has always been my indicator that something is not quite right and I think coming back from the holiday and looking a fresh at the house and shuddering made me think!
I think we had come to the conclusion that Dr Dragon's work place doesn't give a fig about him and so talked about it whilst we were away and decided to go for it! Oh and the fact that they are acting illegally which might mean we get no money
Pain is getting there (doing a load of catching up yesterday made it ache but I think that is transitory) - jump back in on the Wednesday one pound challenge when you can Taxi!!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

And nice to see you back..hope you are well rested and gearing up for the challenges.
for what its worth i agree with you about Mr.Dragon taking them to a tribunal..they will probably drag it out for as long as possible and then cave in at the last minute.good luck with it all.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

This isn't a tribunal yet BOB - this is the company grievance procedure which you have to go through before it reaches that stage! Sometimes that is enough to jolt the company into doing something about their legal obligations.Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I hope so BOB! we don't want to have to go down the tribunal route (bullying is notoriously difficult to prove), but hopefully this will do somethingDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Good luck with it all, Dragon - weight loss, tidying, and grievance procedure as well - little things can hopefully lead to bigger things.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks Karmacat - I suspect the stress Dr Dragon was under (even though for a long while we didn't realise he was under stress!) rubbed off on me and I am beggered if I am going to let the bar stewards grind us down any more!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
