New poster's thread, me

Hi there, I've been reading this board for a while now, and decided rather than just reading about helping myself, I'm going to do something about it.

I'm looking for a place to try and document what I'm doing, so I can't hide from the fact I owe, at the moment over £8000 to my employer from consolidating a load of different stuff a couple of years ago.

I'm still at home, and with a change of job recently I am finally able to start overpaying on my loan, which is the main challenge to me.

I have applications out for some part time work, which will go directly to the loan.

The main aim of the exercise is to be able to get a bigger debt (a mortgage) and be able to finally have my own place.

My case is a lot less important than most others on here, so please save your energies to help them, and I will use the good atmosphere of this board to bring my debt free date a closer than it is now.

Thanks for helping me start my journey, I hope it ends the way I want it to.

Today has started as I want it to keep going, a spend free day.

I will finish it a lot earlier than that.

Hi big fish, good luck with the overpayments to the loan. Living at home many be hard sometimes but its great financially. The second comment isnt really true, yes your situation may be different to others but we are all in the same boat. No matter if you owe £100 or £100,000 its all the same really. Everyone will help in any way they can.

Have you ever produced a soa (see ss sticky at the top of the board)? If you havent why dont you give it a try, then pop it up here. We can then have a look over it and suggest things that may brig your debt free date forward :T

    Good luck hug8ok.gif
