Question about a default

I have 2 defaults that are quite old. One is over 5 years old and one that is over 4 years old. I have known about these for some time. One is outstanding and one is closed. They both show up on my Callcredit credit report. They have previously shown up on my Equifax and Experian credit reports. However, I checked today and cannot see them anywhere on either of the reports. They have been there as recently as the beginning of this year. Is anyone able to tell me why this would be? Does this mean if I can't see the defaults on my report, prospective lenders won't be able to either?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi,
They will automatically fall off your file after six years regardless of whether they were settled or not, sometimes an entry is supressed from your file, if some kind of dispute exists, that is on-going, other than that I don't know.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks for your reply. I actually asked this question in the credit ratings forum too. A few people were baffled there too!!0 -

Hi
If the defaults have dropped off your file because they were put on there over 6 years ago prospective lenders will not be able to see them either.
