Payplan and mortgage title deeds.

Hi all,
Apologies in advance if this post is in the incorrect location, I am currently dealing with a very frustrating problem involving Payplan.

I am in the process of buying a house (not repossession) and on the sellers title deeds it has a restriction listed due to one of the sellers being involved in an IVA with Payplan. Apparently this finished around 2 years ago however the restriction wasn’t taken off the house at that time. (It has become apparent the seller was unaware of any restrictions on the house deeds at all).

So we are now in a situation where the seller’s solicitor is desperately trying to contact Payplan to secure details of this, and to confirm the restriction can now be lifted – without success. They have not responded to any of the solicitor’s letters, emails or calls. Our solicitors are doing all they can but their hands are tied. It certainly feels like Payplan are purposely not responding. We are now in a situation where the pre-agreed exchange date will pass. Does anyone have any advice or know who we can contact or pass this info to the solicitors to speed up this process at all? Someone in Payplan should surely be contactable to sort this issue out – it must be a common occurrence……….

Thanks in advance
